How to Identify Magento Stores
We often review awesome Magento stores and now we’d like to teach you how to know if an online store you’re on is a Magento store or not.
First of all, you can do a simple trick such as checking websitename.com/admin/ or websitename.com/index.php/admin/
Alternatively, you can visit a few Magento galleries and search for the domain name you want.
Also, there is a nice plugin (Chrome Sniffer) which allows you to see the web framework / CMS and JavaScript libraries running on the websites you’re browsing. However, Chrome Sniffer is a Google Chrome add-on, so it won’t help if you’re using other browser.
Finally, the fastest way to see if the online store is built with Magento is to use BuiltWith.com. This is a free service that identifies what the website is built with. All you have to do is enter the URL of the online store that looks like it is powered by the Magento eCommerce platform and you’ll see if it’s a Magento store or not.
